To be eligible for Student membership:

Be enrolled in a High School or as a current full-time student at an accredited college or university.
Be a student in good standing and possess a cumulative minimum GPA of 2.5.
Have a positive record of extracurricular activities, community involvement, and school organizations.
Actively participate in MALEA projects and approved assignments from the MALEA Executive Board.

Student members shall not:

Use profane language or display other conduct that is not consistent with that of a positive role model;
Smoke, purchase or consume alcoholic beverages and/or illegal substances in accordance with school policy and the law;
Strike or threaten students with physical abuse; • Verbally abuse or ridicule students;
Use social media to harass, threaten, or display a negative image of oneself, the school or MALEA.
Engage in inappropriate conduct which may result in a negative response from other students, the school, parents, teachers, or the public;
Transport students in vehicles unless prior approval has been obtained by legal guardians (if applicable) and proof of the appropriate automobile liability coverage has been established.

All membership applications are subject to approval by the MALEA Board and predicated upon truthfulness. You agree to abide by the conditions of the MALEA Student membership and be governed by the By-Laws of the Muslim American Law Enforcement Association and future amendments, modifications and changes thereto.
